State Reps use Loophole to Hide Details Regarding Reckless Spending On Tax-payer Funded Credit Card

Speaker DeLeo had no comment when pressed by WCVB to provide answers to the findings of the irresponsible use of a taxpayer-funded credit card. The credit card was used to purchase hundreds of thousands of dollars of questionable items.

Among the charges were $25,426 to, $12,625 to Home Depot and $38,319 at various restaurants, including about $13,000 at Kelly’s Roast Beef.

The House speaker cites a troubling loophole that allows the House of Representatives to cloud taxpayers’ judgment regarding the use of their money.
